The FM Radio Conspiracy began as a mind control experiment during World War II. As tin foil was increasingly used in hats to block amplitude modulation (AM) signals, the Aluminum Bavariati began secretly pushing aluminum foil instead of tinfoil and promoted the harder to block frequency modulation (FM).
